Competition winners and more SoulRev screens *UPDATE*

The winners of the Christmas competition are Tube Reaver for the fastest email with all the screens and he won Trine 2 Complete Edition and Baziel, who won Serious Sam double pack. Alas, I didn´t get more emails, so I hope you at least enjoyed the SoulRev demo. I have currently finished the material version of Necropolis and going to tackle its spectral version. I have also used Daniel´s higher res textures for the chapel and started working on the northern vastes part. Hope you like the new screenshots! (They are still WIP so I haven´t tweaked a lot of the textures yet for example).

    Wow! Thank you Raina! Happy New Year! The progress is really fast! It looks very nice and interesting! Keep up your great work! I can't wait for the remake and I'm looking forward to the new bosses. If your progress goes on so well, when can expect the game to be ready?

Thanks for your comments! :) Well, I am still at the level assembly stage - I still have to add the Tomb of the Sarafan Drowned Abbey, Ruined City, Oracle´s Cave, full Cathedral, the Lighthouse and the City, so quite a few left... Today I´ll add Nupraptor´s Retreat hopefully and been testing the new fog system that my programmer made today.

With the wireframe mode i can see the (debug?) room trough the walls LOL Too bad I can't enter it xD anyway it lags a bit after the underworld stage (well i'm playing on an eMachines (acer's sub-brand) laptop so the lag has its reasons..) Anyway it's a damn awesome project,can't wait to see other screens about this,keep it up!

    1. Hey Zack, yeah that´s the initial room we used for testing running, jumping, etc. You can glide to it I think if you go North, since there is no connected room yet. Now it´s used for the bosses :)

After many fails,i reached it in a very unusual way,and the full Turel model was so exciting to see! *_* Anyway,i entered even the (yet don't-know-how) Zephon territory and the Sanctuary of the clan (was it possible to reach? o.o) !!!! You've done a really great job Raina,i'm very glad to see that the project is in the hands of a full-skilled LoK/SR fan like You,we wish you the best luck ^^ (Oh,and,Happy New Year,i've forgot to say It before,soooorrrrrrrrrry xD)

    3. Haha, yeah it is kinda difficult to get there since I´ve kept adding new levels... but glad you made it :) Yeah, will be fun to finally see a cutscene with SR1 Turel ;)

      Yeah, Sanctuary is accessible (hope you liked the special throne room! :D). I am working now daily on this, tiring but fun, Today´s list of additions is Ruined City and the Sarafan Tomb area, and I´ve also fixed the textures on Raziel a bit more, I´ll post a screen. Glad you like my efforts, thanks for the support! Happy new year to you too! :D

  6. Oh,one last thing: Can be added,later in the game,some settings like resolution,brightness and something to switch off anisotropic/antialiasing filtering? (maybe with a lower resolution It will lag less on my laptop xD) No complaining seriously,i'm just trying to find a way to make It run fast as possible (right now it goes probably at 20-30 fps LOL!!)

    1. That´s a real pain to do res changing cause all the images have to come in all the available resolutions, which takes up space, lots of readjusting, etc. Oh that slow? Sorry :( I get between 50-60fps :D Maybe try to play in a window? I think F5 does it, or just alt-enter.

  7. Hi guys, I use blender for modeling and was wondering if you might have use for an even higher res Raziel, Zephon and Dumah? More of an early last gen type and a heavily modified Kain. Unfortunately I am far better with character modeling than environments.
