Soul Reaver Soundtrack Update

Hey there, Legacy of Kain fans! I have re-recorded the Soul Reaver OST in better sound quality and just finished uploading it. Its size is 1,79 GB and is 10 hours and 34 minutes long. Before downloading, please make sure you own a copy of Soul Reaver (get it from Good Old Games if you don´t have it yet). The soundtrack has now 163 tracks since I reduced a few of the redundant tracks from the previous version. The OST is divided into three parts - OST1 which includes Underworld, Raziel's Stronghold, Necropolis, Kain Encounter, Cathedral and The City tracks. OST2 includes Pillars-Tomb, Drowned Abbey, Ruined City and the Lighthouse tracks. OST3 contains a variety of prototype tracks not included in the retail version. For now, the OST is hosted on sendspace but I plan to put it on Nosgothic Realm (replacing the current OST) as soon as possible. I hope you will enjoy it!

    1. I can't open the first part of OST1, gives me an error (and yes i'm using 7zip), maybe i need to download all 3 parts of OST1 to even simply open it?
Any chance you could host this anywhere else or perhaps make a torrent or something? :(
Regardless, thanks for all your hard work, worst case scenario i guess i'll just wait for you to update the OST on Nosgothic Realm.

  2. Do you plan on releasing this as mp3?
Or maybe just giving us a link to the v2, when your complete soundtrack was still mp3?
Because i have the v1, mp3 version and it's much louder and crisp.

    1. Hey! I don´t think it is caused by the format, but rather the reverb plugin. The old ost suffered because of the wrong reverb (some elements in the songs are missing) but the new one is more bass oriented and therefore less loud. Maybe I can think of a compromise between them... Using a good headphones is a factor as well.

    2. I have found out the problem was caused by windows bass amplifier which I had on during recording.. man, seems like I have to start over. I didn´t notice it until I have tried my other, better headphones on it. Thanks for suggestion. I will re-record it so it sounds better.

    3. Thanks for all your efforts, every time you do this is no easy task, so i (and, i'm sure, the rest of the LOK community) really appreciate each new re-recording as you improve them more and more.
I'm definitely looking foward to v5.
